新黨晚間在台北市舉行22週年黨慶，國民黨主席朱立倫、國民黨總統參選人洪秀柱、立法院長王金平、民進黨前主席施明德等人皆出席。
郁慕明在會中宣布新黨這次不提不分區名單，為了不讓綠營在國會席次過半，呼籲泛藍把票集中起來，支持國民黨的不分區候選人，在區域立委也會有更多合作。
朱立倫致詞時也感謝郁慕明，號召所有支持新黨朋友在不分區立委選舉，團結一致共同支持國民黨提出的名單，「2016年大選，不但總統要勝選，立委一定要過半」。
據透露，這代表國新兩黨要推動泛藍極大化，國民黨有意在已提名的台南第一、第二選區，禮讓新黨發言人王炳忠及另一名政論節目名嘴參選。
至於國民黨在不分區立委名單是否禮讓席次給新黨，據表示，雙方仍在討論。
